AFS in Africa

Yesterday I went to UEM and had a meeting with the people responsible for their central computer systems. Initialy, my assignment was to look at their email system and see if I could help them design a good system for all their users. After a brief discussion with them it became evident that they have an email system which has support for the things they need at the moment.

Instead, they thought that the areas where they needed help at the moment were with authentication systems and file storage. Thus, we did decide that I should spend time instructing them how to work with Kerberos and AFS and give them some insight into how we have been thinking at KTH when we designed our system there.

Instead, we decided to use the time I have available here to work with them to implement
